Growing up in San Diego, California, L.M. Ruttkay seemed to have a natural bent towards the art, music and writing of the surf and skate culture. Lynne graduated with a Fine Art Degree from the University of California, Irvine. She found her niche as a freelance artist in the action sports industry, while writing poetry and music on the side. Since 1983, she has worked with Quiksilver, Oneill, Rusty, Ripcurl, Alien Workshop, Planet Earth and many more surf and skate companies.
In 2004, Lynne and her son Justin made the decision to take their art, music and writing backgrounds from the action sports industry and develop a unique project for children. Together they launched Eccentric Racing Network in July of 2009. The project involves a virtual world educational website based on the characters and imaginary world from the children’s book, “Eccentric Racing Network: RV the Racer Aardvark.” Eccentric Racing Network has its roots in Southern California’s independent culture of action sports, art and music.
